In the book of Zephaniah, the Prophet warns Judah of the coming "Day of The Lord" where God would execute His destructive judgement for their sin. But out of His love for His people, God revealed Himself as the "Mighty Warrior Who Saves" where He Himself made a way to save the whole world from His judgment.

The Book of Zechariah is set after the return of the exiles from Babylon to Jerusalem. Zechariah and Haggai (Read Ezra 5.1-2) challenged and motivated the people to rebuild the temple. The Prophet Jeremiah prophesied that the exile of Israel would last for 70 years (Jeremiah 25.1-14) and the LORD Almighty would restore His presence to a new temple and bring His kingdom and the rule of the Messiah over all the nations. As Zechariah encourages the people of Israel to rebuild the temple of the LORD, we see how God works to rebuild His people if they are faithful to the God of Israel and to their covenant. As we get to know more about the God of the Bible, may we experience His presence in our lives that He is rebuilding from ruins back to life.  Today is Youth Sunday!
